The Admin and Site Enhancements (ASE) plugin is a suite of useful tools for the Wordpress dashboard and it can easily replace 5+ plugins.
One of its features is the Admin Menu Organizer, which is available both in the free and pro versions. The menu organizer is just like the one found in uiXpress, it can rearrange, rename and hide menu items.
However, if I choose to use ASE’s menu organizer instead of uiXpress’ menu editor, there is a minor incompatibility. Renaming and reordering of menu items with ASE work just fine alongside uiXpress, but hiding a menu or submenu item (a Pro feature) does not:

With the options above selected, that particular menu item should be hidden in the dashboard menu. This works with the standard dashboard but not with uiXpress. So I thought, maybe uiXpress is retrieving the site’s menu in a different way and ignoring the hiding (but renaming and reordering work just fine), or maybe ASE runs the hiding at some priority lower than uiXpress’s priorities and uiXpress overrides it… I don’t know, I’m just speculating.
