Before you submit — a quick checklist

Thanks for taking the time to share feedback on uiXpress. To help us investigate efficiently and keep the tracker useful for everyone, please run through the steps below before opening a bug report.

1. Update to the latest version

Most reported bugs are fixed in the current release. Check your WordPress dashboard under Plugins → uiXpress and ensure you're on the latest version before anything else.

2. Rule out a conflict

Plugin and theme conflicts are the most common cause of unexpected behaviour. To isolate the issue:

Temporarily deactivate all other plugins except uiXpress, then check if the problem persists
Switch to a default WordPress theme (Twenty Twenty-Four) and retest
If the issue disappears, reactivate plugins one by one to identify the culprit, then include that in your report

3. Clear all caches

Clear your browser cache, any WordPress caching plugin (WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, LiteSpeed, etc.), and your server/CDN cache if applicable. Many display issues are stale-cache problems.

4. Check the browser console

Open your browser DevTools (F12 or right-click → Inspect → Console tab) and look for red errors. A screenshot or copy of any errors is extremely helpful and will speed up the investigation significantly.

5. Test in a clean environment

Before submitting, please try to reproduce the issue on a staging site or a clean WordPress install with only uiXpress active. This confirms the problem is reproducible and not specific to your server environment. If you can reproduce it on a clean install, say so in your report — it carries a lot of weight.

6. Search existing reports

Someone may have already reported and answered your issue. Use the search bar above to check before opening a duplicate.

What to include in a bug report

The more detail you provide, the faster we can help:

uiXpress version and WordPress version
PHP version and hosting environment (shared, VPS, managed WP, etc.)
Steps to reproduce — specific, numbered, and repeatable
Expected behaviour vs. what actually happened
Screenshots or a short screen recording
Browser console errors (if any)
Whether the issue reproduces with all other plugins deactivated

Feature requests are welcome too — use the Feature Request category and describe the problem you're trying to solve, not just the solution you have in mind. That context helps a lot.
