Exclusions not honoring SuperAdmin

Hi guys, setting up menus and noticing that the exclusion for user roles is not honoring “SuperAdmin” roles that we have created for client sites where clients are designated as admin users. Learned the hard way by getting locked out of an account. Any ideas?
