Bring Back Linked Parent Menu Names

Back in version 2.0 the Menu builder was so much better, please bring it back.
At the very least please bring back the following 2.0 capability:

v2.0 - Parent menu titles were true pages links, where the submenu revealed once the selected parent page loaded or at the click of the arrow (>).

v3.0 - Now parent menu titles only open the submenus below and do nothing else.

Here is an example:

Parent: Blog Posts - allow this to lead to the edit.php page not just open the submenu

Submenu: > New Post

> Categories

> Tags

> Comments

PS: the nested submenus are a loved improvement, please keep that.
